Flooding basement in Suitland, MD

The customer, living in Suitland, MD, expressed significant concern about the vast amount of water seeping into their home's basement. In response to this issue, we sent our technical advisor to inspect the property thoroughly.

After a meticulous examination of the space, we determined that the optimal solution would entail several steps:

Firstly, we would need to install a WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system. This system is designed to effectively capture and divert water at the perimeter of your basement, draining it away unseen.

Secondly, for easy access to the system for maintenance or inspection, a WaterGuard Port would also need to be installed.

Thirdly, based on the given drawing, an XL TrenchDrain, along with a lateral feed line to the TrenchDrain, would be incorporated into the setup. These components play a crucial role in managing water flow efficiently.

To facilitate the installation of the WaterGuard and/or CleanSpace, some sections of the drywall would need to be removed. Please note that our team does not handle drywall replacement.

To prevent future flooding from clogged or frozen discharge lines, we recommended installing an IceGuard system.

For efficient water removal, we suggested installing an exterior discharge line, as illustrated in the drawing.

To keep water from the sump or gutters away from the structure and reduce potential water damage, a LawnScape Outlet was proposed.

We also advised using a TripleSafe pump system, which includes a twin liner, a primary cast iron AC pump, a back-up cast iron AC pump, and an UltraSump battery back-up pumping system. This system also features a charging/control box with an alarm and a sealed, maintenance-free battery. Also included are three CleanPump stands, an airtight lid with an airtight floor drain, and a WaterWatch alarm system.

To provide additional protection against moisture, we recommended installing a CleanSpace wall of a certain height.

Lastly, to maintain a dry, clean, and healthier environment in the basement, we suggested installing a SaniDry Sedona system, a high-performance dehumidification and air purification system.

This comprehensive approach is designed to holistically address the water intrusion problem, ensuring a dry and safe basement for the homeowner.

Job Stories From Suitland, MD
Foundation Repair in Suitland

Recently, we received a call from a homeowner in Suitland-Silver Hill, MD, worried about their home’s foundation. They noticed some unsettling signs of foundation settlement and knew they needed a reliable team to take a look. Knowing the importance of acting quickly when it comes to foundation issues, the homeowner reached out to us, wanting some peace of mind and a long-lasting solution. After contacting our friendly Customer Care team, we scheduled a home inspection at a time that worked for them. Our System Design Specialist was at their doorstep, ready to tackle their concerns head-on. Following a thorough inspection, it became clear that the foundation settlement was indeed a concern. But there was no need for the homeowner to worry. We recommended installing Push Piers and PowerBrace solutions - a powerful combo to address their settlement intricacies effectively. Once the homeowner was briefed and all their questions were answered, our production team, consisting of a seasoned foreman and skilled installers, got to work. The Push Piers were designed to provide strong, stable support by extending to load-bearing soil or rock. The PowerBrace system was the ideal solution for tightening up and stabilizing the affected walls, ensuring a double fold seal against further movement. The installation went smoothly, and by checking in with the homeowner during each step, we ensured they felt comfortable with the process. When we finally cleaned up the site and packed up our tools, the homeowner was left with not just a more stable foundation, but with the assurance that we provided a durable, reliable solution. This story, like many others we are proud to tell, highlights our mission to deliver not just a service but peace of mind with our expertise and solutions tailor-made for vital home issues.

Flooded basement in Suitland, MD

The customer contacted us due to a major flooding issue in their basement located in Suitland, MD. The severity of the situation was such that both walls and floors had to be removed, leaving the area in dire need of a comprehensive solution. Our team of technical advisors promptly visited the property to carry out a thorough inspection.

Based on the findings from the inspection, we recommended a full-scale basement waterproofing system as an effective solution to manage the flooding problem in its entirety. This proposed system includes the installation of WaterGuards – a sub-floor drainage system designed to effectively channel water away from the foundation.

In addition to the WaterGuards, we proposed the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump. This particular sump pump is equipped with a battery backup pump, ensuring that the system continues to function and protect the home against water damage even during power outages.

Moreover, we suggested the implementation of a CleanSpace wall system to further safeguard the basement against moisture and mold. This system offers an added layer of protection by sealing off the basement from outside elements.

We also recommended the installation of a WellDuct window well, a solution designed to prevent window well flooding by directing excess water into your perimeter drain.

Finally, to ensure efficient water removal, we proposed setting up exterior discharge lines. These lines will direct the water from the sump pump to another location outside the home. This comprehensive approach ensures all aspects of the flooding issue are addressed, providing the homeowner with a long-term solution to their problem.
