Basement Waterproofing in Washington, DC

Recently, a homeowner in Washington, DC found themselves facing a frustrating problem – their basement was constantly damp, leaving an unwanted musty smell and raising concerns about potential water damage and mold growth. Understanding the urgency to protect their home and health, they reached out to us, NV Waterproofing, for help. After contacting our Customer Care team, we scheduled a home inspection to get to the bottom of the issue. Our System Design Specialist quickly identified the source of the dampness and recommended a tailored, durable solution using our WaterGuard and CleanSpace products. WaterGuard, an interior perimeter drainage system, would capture wall and floor seepage before it reached their basement space. Pairing it with CleanSpace, a vapor barrier applied to the basement walls, promised not only to provide an additional layer of protection against moisture but also to freshen up the space by transforming the musty basement walls into a clean, bright surface. Our skilled installation team got to work, precisely fitting the WaterGuard system and securing CleanSpace along the basement walls. It was essential for us to work efficiently and cleanly, ensuring the homeowner’s daily life was minimally disturbed. The outcome was a complete transformation of the once-damp basement into a dry, comfortable space free of that unwelcome musty odor. What was once a concern became peace of mind knowing their basement – and essentially, their home – was protected from potential water damage and the plethora of issues that come with it. Basement Waterproofing in Washington, DC

Recently, in the heart of Washington, DC, we encountered a homeowner faced with a daunting reality; during an unexpected hefty rainstorm, their basement, which didn't have a sump pump, endured a significant flood. Understanding the urgency of their situation, they reached out to NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair, hoping for a steadfast solution that would offer them peace of mind and a dry basement, regardless of the weather. Upon their call, our adept Customer Care team sprang into action, scheduling an immediate appointment for a thorough home inspection. When our System Design Specialist arrived, they meticulously assessed the scenario, unraveling the anguish of the homeowners. With a clear understanding of the basement's vulnerabilities, they recommended a powerhouse combination: SuperSump, CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and IceGuard. These products, known for their efficiency and reliability, promised a comprehensive safeguard against future inundations. The heart of the solution, our SuperSump pump system, was selected for its impressive capacity to prowl and expel incoming water, ensuring the basement stays dry in any weather condition. To complement, the CleanSpace wall system was chosen for its unmatched capability to root out humidity and wall leaks, while WaterGuard's unseen perimeter cut-in was laid out to catch any sneaky ingress. Not forgetting components of gall; the addition of IceGuard was proposed to maintain unfailing sump discharge even in the freezing snap of winter. Our production crew, a tight-knit team bound by determination and keen attention to detail, took the battleground by immaculate storm. The installation, carried out with laser precision and due consideration for the homeowner's space, unfolded seamlessly.

Water intrusion in Washington, DC

Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a homeowner in Washington, DC, who was struggling with a common issue many homeowners fear – water intrusion in their basement. This problem not only disrupts the peace of mind but can also lead to significant damage if not addressed promptly and effectively. After the homeowner reached out to us, our Customer Care team quickly set an appointment for a home inspection. Our System Design Specialist then visited the homeowner, meticulously conducting an inspection to pinpoint the exact causes of the water intrusion. The diagnosis led to a clear plan of action involving several of our high-quality solutions: WaterGuard interior drainage system, SuperSump sump pump system, IceGuard system, and CleanSpace wall covering. The WaterGuard system was designed to intercept water at the perimeter of the basement before it could enter, while the SuperSump sump pump system was installed to efficiently pump out any water that is captured effectively. Recognizing the challenge that freezing temperatures pose, the IceGuard system was added to ensure that the sump pump discharge line would not freeze or get blocked by snow, guaranteeing water could be pumped out of the basement in every season. Lastly, we wrapped the basement walls with CleanSpace, an ultra-durable wall covering, to create an additional barrier against moisture and give the space a clean, finished look. Our team of installers worked diligently, not just installing these systems but ensuring the homeowner’s property was treated with the utmost respect. After the installation, the space was left clean and tidy, a reflection of our commitment to providing a remarkable customer experience every step of the way. The outcome? The homeowner no longer worries about water intrusion and can enjoy a dry, healthy basement.

Basement Waterproofing in Washington, DC

A homeowner in Washington, DC, contacted us, deeply concerned about water infiltrating their finished basement in an eighty-year-old house. They reported significant issues: bubbling painted walls, water accumulation on the floors, and a persistent smell of mold and mildew, emphasizing their desire for a dry and secure basement space.

Our technical advisor promptly visited the property for a comprehensive inspection.

The water damage to the basement was found to be quite severe, prompting us to propose a durable and fully warrantied solution to address their concerns. During the demolition phase, our production team uncovered extensive moisture penetration in the cinderblock walls of the basement. To combat this, we implemented our Waterguard system a trench drain solution designed to redirect any future water seepage away from the basement via the Super Sump pump and out of the property. Additionally, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier to block mold and bacteria, significantly lowering humidity levels in the basement. This system was complemented by the Sanidry Dehumidifier to ensure maximum protection against moisture.

Furthermore, to address water ingress through the basement windows, we upgraded the well drains with an improved drainage system. The customer was thrilled with the transformation, looking forward to renovating their basement once more, now safeguarded against water damage.

Foundation Piers in Washington, DC

A customer in Washington, DC who owned a 1916 Townhome was experiencing a jammed front door due to settlement. After having one of our professional consultants out for a visit, he learned that the best solution would be foundation piers. Foundation piers are the only permanent solution for settlement because piers are able to reach the deepest layers of soil, like bedrock. Then, the home rests on the piers which rest on the sturdy bedrock. Since having the piers installed, this homeowner made the necessary changes needed on the front door and has had no issues since!

A customer in Washington, DC had been dealing with water intrusions in their basement. One area they were experiencing water was by their window wells. After having NV Waterproofing & Foundation Repair out for an inspection, they narrowed down the intrusion area. Since their installation, they have had several spots of rain without water in their basement. They cannot believe how much sunlight comes through their brand new window wells!
