Sunhouse Window Well and Drainage system in Brookeville, MD
Challenge
The customer was dealing with an outdated window well that wasn't functioning effectively for their residence. Additionally, they were troubled by ongoing drainage problems on their property.
Solution
We implemented a new window well installation, equipped with a Sunhouse flat cover. This addition not only provided an aesthetically pleasing look but also allowed for an influx of light into the otherwise dimly lit basement.
In addition to this, we installed a drainage mechanism within the window well, which was seamlessly connected to the pre-existing system. This strategic addition would efficiently funnel any accumulated water away from the window well, mitigating the risk of flooding.
To further reinforce the home's defense against water damage, we installed an exterior drainage system designed to direct water away from the property. This involved a thorough cleansing of the gutters to ensure optimal functionality and extending the downspout to improve the flow of rainwater.
Finally, we carried out a meticulous regrading of the soil surrounding the window well. By doing so, we were able to create a gentle slope that guided water away from the home, adding another layer of protection against potential water damage.
In conclusion, these comprehensive measures not only resolved the immediate concern of the client but also fortified the home against future water-related issues, bringing the homeowner much-needed peace of mind.
